We started our amazing journey together on Aug. 16, 2008.

Some how we (and by we I mean I) talked Bobby and his girlfriend Lxcee into going with us. (So sorry guys!)
Here's me and Lex before we knew what we were getting ourselves into. (should have gotten an after pic, crap!)
I thought that the views were absolutely amazing. Especially the one over looking Sardine Canyon, I have never seen it from this angle before.
After 10 long hours of hiking, we finally made it off the mountain. That was the longest, hardest hike I have ever been on. The hike was around 12 miles (straight up the mountain, then straight down). And this is what 10 hours of hiking does to your feet...
We were all completely filthy when we got done. I do recommend for anyone that is planning on this hike (to not go!) to take plenty of water. All four of us had camel packs with 3 liters of water each and all of us ran out. And not to take your dog, poor Monty was completely exhausted. So much that Daniel and Bobby had to carry him for a while. He slept for 2 days after the hike. Now he's back to normal! Oh, and wear pants. Rattlesnake trail is not kept up on very well, so it was very overgrown and I have scratches all over my legs now. This was also the first hike I have been on that I actually fell down on. I fell twice, the first time plopped right down onto my butt (poor Lex was behind me and got a dust cloud in her face) and the second time I fell, I took my eyes off the trail for just a moment and stepped off of the trail and fell onto my left knee and scraped it all up. Ugh. Well at least we can now say we have hiked the Wellsvilles (all the way) and I know I will NEVER have to do that again!!!
The day after the concert we went to Sandy to hang out so we could meet Daniels family for the soccer game. We ended up going to Ikea and I bought out the entire stock of dark wood frames that they had. Thank you Daniel for putting up with Ikea, and you are welcome for running in and out and not spending an entire day in there! (Now that took restraint!)
I have to thank my in-laws for the most incredible experience ever! We sat right behind the El Salvador team, so we heckled them all game! I screamed so hard and loud (I didn't know I had that in me!) So that coupled with the Creedence Clearwater Revival concert the night before, I lost my voice for about 2 days. So worth it though!!! BTW. USA 2 El Salvador 1.
We need to write a "letiditor" (I was trying to say 'letter to the editor')
I was reading the words "bad attitude" and it came out as "BADITUDE"
"That was in radio!" (Going for stereo -- me and Trish said something at the same time!)
I was talking to Daniel and tried to say maybe and probably and it came out "maybably"
"Oww, freezer burn!" I said this while drinking a smoothie at my mom's and I got brain freeze.
So I recently updated my status on Facebook, the day before we hiked the Wellsvilles. I put "I'm going to concur the Wellsvilles tomorrow!" -- the comments from my friends were hillarious!! At least I can laugh at myself...I left it as my status for awhile. After we finished the hike, I updated my status as to read "Well the Wellsvilles did not concur with me, but I did conquer them!!"
