Getting older. ugh.

Yup. That's right, I just got older. My birthday was on Tues. It was an awesome day. My mom took me and Daniel out to lunch. Then Daniel went to get a new car for us...yes we finally got rid of that P.O.S. Jag. (I think we paid more in repairs on that thing than we did to buy it) YA-HOO!!!

Ta-da! That's our new car. I really, really like it and we got a killer deal on it. It's a Nissan Versa and we got pretty much every upgrade you would want in a car. So lets just pray that I won't get laid off work anytime soon!

After Daniel got home with the new ride, we went out to dinner with his parents. Then I wanted to show off the new car (of course!) so we went out to Brandy's and showed her and Cam. By this time it was getting late and I was worn out so we went home, I did some laundry while Daniel studied. All-in-all I would have to say that it was a pretty good day! Just a thought.

Why is it OK for the Utah State Legislature to go out and spend about $20,000 for new office furniture (and that's for each office...so a total of about 2 MILLION DOLLARS) when I (and all other USU employees) have to take a mandatory 5 days off with out pay for budget cuts? Screwy. They say they got the furniture from prisoners that built it so, in my opinion, they over-payed. Sounds to me like they are just pushing money around. Not to mention that they all got a "moderate" sized flat screen t.v. (when did prisoners start building flat screen t.v.'s?) They justify it by saying it was approved over 2 years ago...??
