A Special Announcement.

I have racked my brain trying to come up with a clever way to tell the world this, but I can't come up with a thing. I guess I'll blame it on "pregnancy brain"!..That's right, me and Daniel are having a baby! I am 11 weeks (well technically 10 weeks and 4 days). Our due date is set for Sept. 2 2010.
We had our first ultrasound on Feb. 01 2010. Everything was perfect. I've always heard that hearing the heartbeat is the best part of that first appointment. Boy is that an under statement. When I heard that little heart pumping away, it took my breath away. Me and Daniel were completely stunned. After the first initial shock of the hearing heartbeat, let the waterworks begin. Daniel and I lost it! It's an experience that can not be explained...just completely amazing. It made the pregnancy seem real!

This is the picture of our little nugget with the heartbeat across the bottom. And if you look close, you can see where the Doc. outlined the tiny little heart.I always heard stories about people going into the first ultrasound and not being able to tell where the baby is or what they are looking at. Not the story with us. At first glance we could totally tell we were looking at our child.

So far I have LOVED being pregnant. The first month was hard. I was sick every day all day. But this second month has been good. Some days are worse than others, but I have more good days than bad! I'm still really, really tired. All I want to do is sleep the day away. I have to go home on my lunches and take a half hour nap just to make it through the rest of the afternoon. Then I'm in bed by about 9pm. My clothes are starting to get tighter and tighter. I had to go buy me a bunch of "fat clothes" to get me through this awkward stage. I can't wait to be able to wear maternity clothes, they all look so comfortable, I'm just not quit that far yet.

Well, I will be sure to keep you all updated on everything. I have my next appt. in March, and then in April we get to find out what the gender is!
