Jardine Juniper Tree

On June 6 2009 my older brother (Jeff) and I went hiking. We went up to the Jardine Juniper Tree. We both decided that since neither of us have seen it that it was time. (Growing up in Cache Valley and all!)

Now for the boring stuff! The Jardine Juniper tree is thought to be about 3200 years old. (According to a sign right next to the tree -- however, I have also heard that it is 1500 years old) It is one of the most beautiful hikes I have ever been on. Not only was the scenery amazing but the smells and sounds were astonishing. This is the perfect time of year to go on this hike, I couldn't believe how much water there was! I would definitely recommend it for anyone! It's about 10 miles round trip but it's not very strenuous.

Looky there, another reptile friend...at least it wasn't a snake, I don't think I could have handled another run in with another snake!

Now I just want to share some photos I took of some of the glorious wildflowers I saw on the hike. ENJOY!

Yes! I was finally able to put my new camera to the true test...and if you ask me it definitely passed! I think the pictures turned out better than I could have hoped for!

I just want Jeff to know what a good time I had with him. We don't get to do things together very often, so I truly cherish the time we do get to hang. I know we have had our differences in the past, but I feel that this experience has brought us closer and I love being your little sis! I love you Jeffy!

Namesake...

Just thought that I owed him at the very least this...Ricardo Montalban passed today and without him my puppy would not have a name!

Nobody’s perfect!

I just had to share with everyone my favorite physical feature about my dog...
Yes, that is his bum. To be more specific, I'm talking about his tail. If you look closely it's crooked...it goes off to the right and I absolutely love it because he is so stinkin' cute...but not quite perfect, but that makes him perfect for me and Daniel! It was hilarious when he first started to wag his tail, because it was just a short stumpy thing that isn't centered and it barely moved! (Yes, I realize I need to get a life and not focus so much on my dog...I just can't help it!) Not to mention that my dog is going through an "awkward" phase...kinda like a teenager..........

You see his ears? One has started to stand up on it's own, the other? Who knows what it is going to do???!?

Montalban Brutus

My dog lives here, he's here to stay.

Eat.Sleep.TV.

Now that's what I call vacation. We went to AZ over the weekend with Daniel and his parents. We went to go see his little bro Tom play soccer. (They won the game...so it made it worth the entire trip!!!) We had a blast and I love spending time with my husband and his family. But I can't believe how much I ate!!! wow! I think I put on about 20 lbs. this weekend alone. I just have to hit the gym extra hard this week to work it all off!!! (yeah, we'll see if that really happens!)

I did bring the camera...but forgot to take it with me whenever we actually left the hotel! So no pics...I am so lame!!!

I was most excited to come home to this...

How could you NOT miss a face this cute?!!??

My SMALL taste of motherhood...

So as you all know we got a puppy on Sept. 20. He has been so much fun! and it's been a blast watching him grow and become more cordinated! The only gripe I have about him is that fact that I have to get up at 3:30 in the morning to let him out to go "potty".ugh. Daniel means well and tells me that he'll do it...He just doesn't hear the alarm go off and I don't have the heart to wake him up when I'm already awake. The worst part about it is when I put 'lil Monty back into his crate for the rest of the night all he does is WHINE.

This is Monty 5 days after we brought him to his new home.

AHH. Puppy kisses and breath!!! This 'lil guy chews on anything he can get his mouth on. We learned really quick that the shoes are going to be put away as soon as we get home! I consider that to be an added bonus to getting Monty...I don't have shoes scattered all over in the living room!I absolutley love taking pics of him! Here are just a few of my MANY!As you probably guessed I can't get enough of this pup! I love him to death and he was the perfect addition to our small family!

He's getting BIG!!!!

Just wanted to share the most recent pictures of Monty. We only have 3 more days before we can bring him home! YEAH!!! In this pic, I think he knew that his was getting his picture taken because he just posed so perfectly!I wanted you all to see this one because it gives you an idea of how big of a CHUNK he really is...check out his rolls!

Good News!

So on Tuesday, we went to go visit our little Monty. While playing with him we learned that we will be able to take him home a little sooner then we expected!!! He gets to come home on Sept. 20...that's a week away and I can't wait! This is the most recent pic of him. He is such a CHUNK! and he is so CUTE! I am so excited to come home to a pup, some one who will be happy to see me no matter what!

This little guy is already spoiled rotten...of course when we decided to get him I had to immediately go out and buy all new dog "stuff", I got him a new bed, new feeding bowls, and toys, toys, toys! Daniel thinks that I am CRAZY because he says that the minute we get him I'm going to say "but Monty wants to pick out all of his toys and food" just so I have an excuse to go shopping for him some more! And you know, I hate to admit it but he is probably RIGHT!

(and don't you worry...I'm starting my honeymoon blog...this one may take way longer than the wedding one took!)

Montalban Brutus

I want you all to meet the newest addition to our family....

This is Monty. His full name is Montalban Brutus. (Montalban is from Ricardo Montalban of Fantasy Island...Daniels idea!) Monty is a boston terrier...he is not the "normal" black and white boston terrier, he is a red or brindle color.

Yes I know that right now he looks like a guinea pig...but he is only 2 weeks old in this pic. (He was born on Aug. 13 2008) We found this little guy on the classified adds for KSL. We saw that the breeders live here in Logan so we decided to call them and go meet the puppies. We saw this little guy and fell instantly in love with him!

We get to bring him home the first of Oct. I hope I can make it until then! Angela (the lady who breeds and mothers the pups) said that we can go over there whenever and visit our little guy! She may regret saying that!!!

I know that this is sad...I do a posting about my new puppy before I post anything about my wedding! (my excuse is that I don't have any pics from the wedding yet...but I will soon!)
