It's my Birthday!

So this morning was like any other morning. The only difference is that it's my BIRTHDAY! We got up like we normally would. I expected Daniel to wish me a happy birthday first thing...but this didn't happen. I was thinking "well that's just weird, because birthdays are such a big deal to him, oh well" So I go on about my morning and get ready for work, walk out to the kitchen and he's there reading the paper enjoying his cup of coffee. I start getting my breakfast ready and my snacks to take to work, go start my car and come back in...still nothing. So I finally ask him, "are you forgetting something?" He says, "no, I don't think so" and I say "are you suuure?" and he says "well, obviously I am...what is it?" And all I have to say is "birth....." and I could see his face wash over with complete shame and humiliation. He was so so so sorry. But it really didn't bother me. I knew he was very tired and had a lot on his mind with school. Anyway, he brought me flowers and a balloon to work today, which was completely unexpected and made me cry (happy tears) a little. So I just want to take a minute to let everyone know how lucky I am! Daniel is such a thoughtful, caring person and I just love him to death! Thank you for everything you do for me babe!

Sorry to get all mushy on you all! It's funny how this birthday seems so insignificant to me...I have so much "other" stuff on my mind right now that it just doesn't seem like that big of a deal to me. This is the first birthday I have ever worked and ya know, it wasn't all that bad!
